The Cambridge Food Pantry of the Cambridge United Church
Council is in critical need of non-perishable foods, paper products and
funds for fresh food. The pantry is helping a greater number of households
that have an increased need for food. There is little doubt that this is
in part a result of the economy. It is clear that people come for
help because they and their loved ones will go hungry without the support
of the food that is provided.
Items especially needed are:
-
paper products,
-
spaghetti and macaroni,
-
peanut butter,
-
jams,
-
healthy cereal,
-
canned or dried fruits,
-
tuna fish.
All money donated goes towards vouchers to purchase fresh
food at the grocery store.
Donated items may be left at the Cambridge Food Pantry,
located at the Cambridge Valley Senior Citizens Center at 5 Park Street,
Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Checks for the fresh food
fund are to be made out to the Cambridge United Church Council. For more
information, please call Margaret Haight at 369-6796.
